Spyridon Kanellakis, Ph. D.

Dietitian - Nutritionist 


Spyridon Kanellakis graduated the department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Technological institute of Crete in 2005 and his Masters degree on Human Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Aberdeen on 2006 with Commendation. From 2008 to date is a PhD candidate at Harokopio University. His thesis is co-financed by the European Union (European Social Fund – ESF) and Greek national funds through the Operational Program "Education and Lifelong Learning" of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) - Research Funding Program: Heracleitus II. Investing in knowledge society through the European Social Fund.
 His research interests include the design and implementation of lifestyle and nutrition education programs, development and validation of tools used to assess nutritional status.
Spyridon Kanellakis is the first author or the co-author in 5 publications in international scientific journals, and 2 posters in Pan-Hellenic scientific congresses.
Finally, in the last two years (2010 up to date) he is teaching associate for the laboratory lessons of the courses “Nutritional Assessment and Nutrition Education” in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Harokopio University.
